Aberrant sounds like the series Heroes.

Well I've actually never seen Heroes... Embarassed

...but from what I've heard, yeah, I think they're pretty similar.

When I get internet access back after I move again in a couple weeks, (such access will have to wait until I get a better job though) I'll be getting Heroes to watch, likely via utorrent.

I think Aberrant is a slightly more advanced version of the same idea, in that super powers are more widely recognised and accepted than in Heroes. Heroes has its little secret societies, but Aberrant already has professional supers. It's like Heroes, half a generation on.
