Interesting little thing I spotted while re-reading this article. The author suggests that Canada is very anti-gun, with fewer guns than the US. That's exactly the opposite of what Bowling for Columbine reported, and since I'm willing to believe that Michael Moore does at least a little research for his films, I'm wondering why the author's perceptions would be so far off.

Mr. Moore is guilty of what he accuses others of...propaganda. That's a fancy word for making up your own facts, AKA lying.

Or alternatively, there might be a lot of guns in Canada but not much gun culture. i.e. People who are into hunting or shooting own them, but if you're not into those pastimes yourself and don't know anyone who is, then you won't come across guns.

I wasn't accusing the man of being pleasant or accurate. But whose inaccuracies are closer to reality?

Canada has a decent hunting subculture, but Moore wants you to belive that every street thug has a gun. Truth is, it's fucking hard to get a firearm in Canada, legally, or not.

Ok, I'll take your word for it. That wasn't how I interpreted what he said in Bowling, but I get what you're saying, so all is well.
